I think for simple swing code it does seem to work.

I have run into issues myself where inherited UI components do not work,

For example, when I made some of my own containers (such as a panel class with buttons, labels etc that I find myself reusing a lot) the visual designer in eclipse has a hard time.

Now it could be that there is something I did in JBuilder that it does not like, and if I redid it in eclipse it might behave better... I have not tried to correct the issues yet.

I am pondering moving to SWT instead anyway, so this may not end up being an issue in the long run.

Hi!
I have been also using JBuilder for a loooong time - since version 4.
I don't understand why JBuilder 2007 does not parse old UI forms created in JBuilder 2006...
I have been developing a large GUI project using JBuilder X, 2005, 2006. When I switched to 2007, I realized that it can't show my GUI dialogs in its UI designer.
Well, it shows something, but it is all broken, just like standard Eclipse would show.
It seems like there's no backward compatibility in 2007 UI designer.
